Personal Project – University of Central Lancashire
This project was part of my final year at The University of Central Lancashire, where I did a BA(Hons) Degree in Graphic Design. The brief was to explore prejudice, knowing that I was heading to Australia for a year after I graduated it seemed like the perfect place to start.
The wallpaper reflects how the Aboriginal folk of Australia have been forced inside into a life they haven’t chosen by modern society. Using traditional Aboriginal paintings and techniques as a basis for the design, it represents a life which is dominated by alcohol.
The project was featured in the D & AD Student Annual 2007 as well as Computer Arts magazine.
